Found in the Gospels, there are scriptures called the Infancy Narratives. These narratives explain the early life of Jesus Christ. These relics were written by Matthew, a tax collector and former apostle of Jesus; and Luke, was a Greek physician and early Christian writer. The two narratives are both have similar texts but they also have a good amount of differences. Both narratives tell a great deal of Jesus’ early life or “infancy”.
The Matthew infancy narrative was written for Jews who became Christians. So he related the information to the Old Testament because the Jews were able to relate to that. The narrative included the events, the genealogy of Jesus, conception of Jesus, his birth in Bethlehem, his visit of the magi, flight into Egypt, slaughter of the innocents, and his return to Nazareth. The genealogy of Jesus is Jesus ancestry line related to important Jewish people. Jesus is the son of King David and also son of Abraham.
