1.1 Company Background

TGV Cinemas Sdn Bhd (TGV Cinemas) has been subsidiaries by Tanjong Public Limited Company since 1995. Its has grown to become one of Malaysia’s premier film exhibition companies and currently being a second largest cinema chain in Malaysia after Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC).

TGV Cinemas the first exhibition company who introduce the multiplex concept, offering Malaysians a collection of local and international movies within one location. Nowadays, TGV Cinemas is the owner of 16 cinemas all over Peninsular Malaysia, with a total of over 120 screens and 24,000 seats.

Moreover, TGV Cinemas continues to bring new leading edge from other competitors by being the first to introduce the ‘Beanieplex’ movie hall. In addition, due to the popularity of 3D movies, TGV Cinemas integrated with the new advances in cinema technology for customers to enjoy movie going experience, such as digital screen movie halls for 3D movie screenings.

Other than offering an enjoyable movie going experience, TGV Cinemas also organize any occasions, with hall rentals available for private functions, seminars, entertainment programmes, corporate functions, sales presentations, company parties, school plays as well as private movie screenings.
