The advent of the Internet has been one of the most exciting major events in the second half of the 20th century. The ancient dream of “a scholar knows all things happening in the world without venturing outdoors” has finally become a reality. Since 1993, the Internet started to take off. One country specifically is in the midst of taking over as the world’s economic leader. This country is China, the world’s newest super power.

The internet has helped the country prosper; however, spawning from this free flow of information is a force of educated revolutionaries that are tired of censorship and big government. The big explosion in economics provided by the internet and technology has pushed China to the forefront of global powers. China has emerged and will continue to rise on the world stage because the government has put its faith in prosperity in the technology sector.
