In St Joseph’s International Catholic College, the St Joseph’s day is a yearly occasion which we celebrate at the 18th of March at the college grounds. For the first time the St. Joseph’s day was bigger than ever. In the previous years, the occasion was a simple day and not much things happened. But for some reason things has changed. This year there were many activities that were organized by the college committee. The activities were basketball games from grades 3 and onwards, and there was a original song composition competition for all the grades and best in dress for the class who got the exact image of St. Joseph. All activities seem very exciting.
The few weeks before the St Joey day, the basketball games were already on going. There were classes playing every day of the week, and who ever the winner will be, they would be challenging the winner’s of the other game. It went on for the 2 weeks. I Patrick Nathan Avinante, the writer of this article, is at grade 10, and our game was on Monday against the other section 10B. We won and challenged the winning team of the previous game which were the grade 9A’s. Eventually we still were victorious even though we were really tired after playing in the first game. We won the basketball game competition for our level. On the other hand everyone was busy on composing there song for the song competition. Before the class entries for the song competition were to make it on the St Joey’s day, there was a run dry of all the entries and the judges would judge them from their whether they would make it or not. Four groups had made it and were proceeding to the finals.
The St. Joey day finally arrived. To kick of the day, a mass as held in the school parish at 8.30 am in the morning. Straight after that, all the activities that were planned were being followed.
