A&A Trucking Environmental Analysis

A&A Trucking is a new and exciting transportation company that plans to provide reasonable and dependable transportation services nationwide. Terry Anderson, the founder and owner of A&A Trucking, saw the need for a more versatile transportation company in today's economy. As industries change and grow, the importance of an organization’s ability to obtain and sustain competitive advantages increases. A&A Trucking also plans on employing convicted felons and underemployed personnel in HUB zones to assist in combating high unemployment rate and recidivism. A key to A&A Trucking will be their ability of obtaining and sustaining its competitive advantages is the analysis of their internal and external business environment, and assessment of their competitive position and future possibilities. The company will use the SWOT analysis, internet, newspaper and other tools to analyze the companies need in order to ensure success.

External Analysis

It is vital for any organization or business to learn and adapt to their external environment. One of the areas to concentrate and focus on is remote environment. "The remote environment comprises factors that originate beyond, and usually irrespective of, any single firm’s operating situation: (1) economic, (2) social, (3) political, (4) technological, and (5)

Ecological factors” (Pearce and Robinson, 2011). One of the main factors within A&A Trucking will be remaining efficient with today's technology.

A&A Trucking will have to remain in the loop on technology in the transportation industry in order to satisfy their clients and remain competitive in their industry.
