What steps of the general adaptation syndrome will I experience?
With the workload increasing and depending on how long the stress will continue, will determine the steps you will face or encounter with the general adaption syndrome. If the stress were to continue for a long period of time then all three steps would be faced. The first step, the alarm reaction would begin as I would face deadlines I may not be able to meet signaling my brain to the stress which would increase my heartbeat causing a number of conditions such as poor respiration or even causing the lack of appetite. The resistance stage would then come about trying to restore the energy exhausted by my body. The third stage or the exhaustion stage, my body would be completely exhausted from trying to keep up with the work load I had taken on.
What emotional and cognitive effects might this stressor produce?
Some of the emotional and cognitive effects that this stressor could produce could be Anxiety and/ or Depression. Along with anger, there may be some impatiens as I am working very hard to accomplish my goals and with the workload I face no one is able to keep up with me or in any way help me out. As for cognitive effects since you are dealing with a job where you have to be creative you might find trouble with thinking clearly and staying focused on you projects

If this stress continues, how might it affect my health?
If the stress continues and there seems to be no way of controlling it, then I may face more headaches, chronic fatigue or emotional tension. With the prolonged effects of the stress I could face major health conditions such as Coronary Heart Disease which has been shown to have a connection to cancer due to stress or high blood pressure.
How might I resolve this situation effectively?
To handle the situation effectively, I need to learn to cope with stress I am under or consider changing my plans as for my career. I would need to learn coping skills in order to...
