The more we continue drilling in our own country for oil, the more we can stop depending on other countries for the oil supply. In return with getting our own oil from our own country we would be profiting off of it instead of paying for it. With this being said our oil prices should drop also making a lot of other things drop along with it. If we go green with everything, jobs, energy, and get new technology like solar power and clean coal, the things we use on a daily basis should become cheaper in the future such as gas, electric,etc. Obama wants to turn around the economy by committing $15 billlion per year to developing green energy (Waste & Recycle News 2009). At the same time as we are benefiting from all the new changes we will also be hurt in society. Sen. James Inhofe,R-Okla., says Obamas plan would amount to the “largest annual tax increase in history of America.” (Waste & Recycle News 2009) If we could get away from the dependence of foreign oil and get our own from our own country this would gep to cut costs. If we could do the wimd, solar and biofuel and cleancoal without a huge jump in energy prices for the world, it would eventually make things cheaper and more affordable for everyone in America. Also, with more jobs there would be less unemployment and government assistances being handed out. This would help the America to get out of debt to.
