According to research many theorist has proclaim Juvenile Delinquency as being one of the most serious issue facing society today. Through countless debate theorist have pounder how criminal are created and much of that debate has leaded to juvenile delinquency. OJJDP stated that juvenile delinquencyhas shown that more 92,854 minors are incarcerated in residential facilities and detention center in in the United States in 2006. With data showing over 17% of all arrests in the United States are youth under 18 years age. Given the fact of these numbers, issue, and, facts the cause of delinquency must be examine thoroughly.

Many theories have made attempts in providing some explanation of the cause for deviance and delinquent behavior. Theorist thoughts has conclude that many issue stem from economic background, substance abuse, negative peer groups, over exposure to violence, and dysfunctional family structure to name a few. Yet two children from the same home one could exhibit this behavior. However the other child does exhibit any of the behavior that other one does. Whatever is the cause it is a problem that must be address, given the effect it has on society as a whole.
