When we talk about communication, we will think it as the way to speak to each other automatically. In academic area, communication is a process to know about information, exchange thinking and deal with others around. It consists of many forms such as spoken communication, written communication verbal communication; non-verbal communication etc. (Witsel, 2009, P. 3) Communication is a very interesting knowledge we should seize it well. But it is not so easy to achieve that. To be an active listener, to use the non-verbal communication including eye contact, facial expression, gestures, and also silence are all ways to improve a better communication stage. What’s more important is to paraphrasing others’ words and seek for feedback. Besides, keeping stable mood and thinking prudent are the two things which I think can be used not only in communication but also for a lifetime.
Because I feel desirous of obtaining communication knowledge and practicing communication skills, I really pay attention to the communication cases around us in our daily life. This case below attracts me a lot for its unbelievable process. Dwyane and jack rent a house and live together. They are all a bit introverted. One day when they had dinner, Dwyane made some jokes with Jack as usual but Jack kept silent for a while. Dwyane had felt the depression of Jack but he didn’t know where the point of this arrow is, and then took it as normal. Minutes later, Jack showed an irritable expression with frown and pouting his mouth and then shouted to Dwyane: “I can’t stand you anymore.” Dwyane stared big eyes at Jack and spread out his hands, and then answered innocently to Jack: “What’s the matter?” Jack continued to bow his head and kept silent. Again after minutes, Jack looked at Dwyane as an eye sight of stranger and then said with a tough and resolute tone: “You never think about me! You are so selfish and just consider everything for yourself! What you said are always truths.” Keeping silent...
