* Address the following questions as a Learning Team:
* Academic writing standards generally condemn the use of first- and second-person pronouns such as I, me, my, you, and your. Why do you think this is the case?
The use of first- and second-hand pronouns is considered an informal method of writing. Academic writing is a formal way of writing, without contractions, or informal vernacular. I believe that the use of pronouns is “condemned” because their use can cause confusion in communication and can impart a less than serious tone.
* Find a movie review in an online publication for a movie currently playing in theaters. Post the link to the review for the class and provide five examples of how the reviewer used adverbs and five examples of the use of adjectives. Has the reviewer used them effectively? Explain why or why not.
