Suppose your company is interested in purchasing software package in order to improve its customer service. Discuss the project management processes that would be needed to support the initial phases of the project.

You are one of the project managers of a large scale, global Information systems project with about a 100 team members. Your boss will choose randomly to be present in your weekly project meetings for status reporting and tracking. How would you convince your boss with your project management approaches that you are efficiently tracking the project progress.

Discuss your experiences from a current/upcoming project that you are involved. Refer to the context and perspectives during the initial stages of the project (on people, process, technology used). What aspects do you appreciate/ disagree on the project leadership methods adopted. What are the lessons learnt from this experience.  

A recent project that I was currently in was the planning of my friend’s bridal shower. All the bridesmaid (including me) had gotten together to plan a beautiful shower for our special friend that was struggling financially. My friend had been planning her wedding for 3 years, but unfortunately 7 months ago her sister pass away in a tragic accident after losing her husband over a year ago in Afghanistan.
