Based On The Stories Presented, Discuss The Characterizations Of The Female Board Members In Relation To The Behavioral Model Of Leadership.

In this case, there is a comparison with all of the women whether they are the only woman director on board or whether they are among other women directors on board. Nowadays the leadership has evolved and it is possible to see female board directors and the fact that where they are the only females on board are now becoming more and more real. Plus, women directors are supportive and considerate to the members of the organization. They are more “human” in the sense that they are more sensitive in condition of employee as oppose to Men.

But, it does not impede them to reach the company goals. They main focus is linked to work satisfaction among the employees in the workplace and at the same time fulfill the employees’ self- esteem and expectations, through motivation, promotions and encouragement (Hellriegel, and Slocum, John W. Jr. p.300 (2011).

However, some critics suggest that giving more power to women is not good. It is well known that when boss female are facing trouble they think with their heart instead of their head. These critics think that women have difficulties solving issue based of fact; they excel more on their condition of woman and sensitiveness which is dangerous at some point. As a matter of fact it can be very efficient but at some degree their approach in position must be more complete as in leadership position there is more to considerate. As a consequence of this, women are marginalized for certain job with responsibilities and their ideas or their work are not even acknowledged or recognized , this can be rather discriminatory because even if women are known to have a sensitive part they have the right to occupy leadership role, managing duties. Moreover, there is another case where in some environment women are used to compete only with other women and this competition can lead to fight and rivalry. But truly women need to be recognizing for the value of what they bring or incarnate, they bring dynamism in work environment...
