Introduction

With the growth of technology, more and more development is taking place in order to enhance the quality of human life. Car is one of them. No one would deny that the invention of car brought a significant reform among the transportation. And some people think that cars have improved modern life. But others think that cars have caused serious problems. The effects of the cars in daily life have been a subject of controversy.

Although cars have improved our modern life in some ways for speed, convenience, and capacity of carrying things, we have had to pay the price for them. Now, as more and more cars have been putting into use, the problems that they have caused are seemed seriously. In my opinion, traffic congestion, air pollution, and traffic accidents which have been caused by cars, should be given more attention than any time before.

Body

First of all, cars have congested city streets. The problem is more obvious when the masses of motor vehicles enter or leave cities at peak traffic hours. Many people have the same experience that they had to wait hours in their cars during a rush hour. Traffic can make you late for important events or business meetings. Imagine that, there is an ambulance in this traffic jam, and the patient is in very critical condition. So, what would you do now if you were the driver? Leave this car and run for one’s life to hospital? I think the best way you can do is just sound the horn in an anxious mood while facing the endless line of cars. I doubt she's hard to last out if she is not taken to hospital immediately.

The widespread use of cars has also led in many cities to a decline in public-transit systems, which result in more and more use of private cars, and exacerbate the congestion problems. The constantly growing number of cars throughout the world has made the congestion program worse and worse because planners and engineers simply cannot find a solution to keep up with the increasing volume of the traffic...
