A lot of people love to enjoy a great movie either at home or at the movie theaters. The viewers or moviegoers, judge which movies are really a hit and which movies are not worth watching. Every person has their favorite films. In order to tell if a movie is great and must be seen by a lot of people, it is of vital importance to analyze the film. Analyzing films is a task that is mostly done by writers or journalists whose job is to review films in order to guide people of which films are worthy of their time and money. Whether you will do it for leisure or for professional purposes, analyzing a film is a very important task in helping people understand what is presented in the movie. This paper presents to you the steps on how to analyze a film and how to interpret the meaning of symbols in the movie. In the end, the narrative presents the personal criteria of the author in analyzing and evaluating a feature film. It is important to critically analyze a film not only to know the theme and meaning of the film but also to know the facets of the featured film.
Analyzing a film is important as understanding a feature film is merely based on one’s perspective. Unfortunately, the movie is based on the eyes and how the producers and director and they may not share the same perspective as the audience. The audience may view the film differently if they will just watch the movie plainly. Thus, critically interpreting a film is vital in order to obtain full understanding of the film. The title and credits get little attention and for more people it is a matter of no importance. The title is important in attracting viewers to watch the film.
